Used for beef production. Good for grazing. Known for their longevity, fertility, and adaptability.

Endangered Species Status: Critical

This breed is listed under the critical endangered species list because in the early 1900's British, European, and Indian breeds were of higher quality and in more of a demand, so the longhorns popularity dropped causing farmers to select against bread the Longhorn.
