Food Inc. Review

After watching Food Inc. I have realized that a lot of consumers do not know how farmers and other people associated with farming actually do things. This film is one sided and shows consumers the side the film makers intended for them to see. While some of the things they said in the film were true, not all of it is accurate giving agriculture a bad reputation to consumers who really have no idea where there food is coming from. The part of the film that made me most upset was when they showed the cattle in the feed lot. That was 1 farmers farm, and it might have even been a staged shot for the movie. Not all the farms in America are like that, but it leads people who are watching this to believe that thats what ALL the feed lots in America look like. It also bothered me that people who make their living from farming bash the agriculture industry by saying poor things. You would think if they were that highly involved that they would give agriculture a good name. I do not agree with anything said in the film, and as a person who has been around agriculture my whole life and lives in an agricultural based community, I feel very offended by what people are trying to do to this industry. We as advocates need to get good accurate information out to general population who have no idea what farming really is.
